About Pine Forest
Pine Forest is a public charter school offering grades K through 8, and is established by contract with the State Board of Education. The purpose of the school is to provide a unique setting for learning that will improve pupil achievement and provide additional public school choices for students and parents.
Pine Forest School offers a Waldorf-modeled curriculum.
In Waldorf education, art, music, movement, physical education, crafts, and the teaching of foreign languages are considered important supports for reading, writing, the study of history, science and mathematics. Each day includes activities for the body, hands, heart, as well as the mind.
We help students develop a compassionate love of learning. Namely, we emphasize a comprehensive education, with the goal of developing creativity, clarity of thought, a steadily increasing intellectual capacity, a balanced emotional life, and a will to work.
